I Use salmo hornets with some sucess in esturies and find that the work well with singles
Thanks for the input Bennie, I am a catch and release fisherman except for the odd Strepie, Pinky, Mullet etc. for bait, so I do want the fish I catch to have the best chance of surviving, so far I have not hooked a fish badly with trebles, I guess I have been lucky... But I will keep what you said in mind!
You know, I agree we hurt/damage the fish with trebles but most of the dam age is done while removing the hooks. If you take care removing the hooks, most of the problems are gone. That said, I have seen so many damaged fish / deformed fish (in various pictures and caught) and they seem to survive well or else they wouldn't have been caught in the first place.
I think it depends on what you are fishing and how you are fishing, both hooks have their advantages and disadvantages. On poppers I prefer trebles, on spoons I prefer singles etc.....Youf fishing style will also influence this...
He hey FA hey hey FA!
Huh????????
