great post Tommo, have been out trolling for Snoek and watch the guys on the rocks catching Snoek, like watching a live show off a boat

Hi Eric, yep we try to cast out as far as the boats and the boats try to cast in to the shore, kind of funny. I guess the snoek just love that zone in the early mornings!
 
Nice setup CLS, yep let's hold thumbs for a good sard run this year. Get some practise in now and hopefully we will all be posting pics of some quality game fish taken from the bricks this season!
 
@ Lucky Hook, I am not sure. It always seems to be different. I think the fish move through the area and we get fish from different shoals as they come through.

Hi Cracker001 These pics were all taken at Umdoni Point, one of the trickier points to fish. This spot is very affected by conditions, but it can be awesome when it is on.

Im niot sure but i think they do make a 12ft Amia ?

A mate of mine is using the 11 ft Assassin Amia, and loving it! Looks like a good stick.

Guys hows it going their down south . Here on the north coast it has slowed down considerably mainly due to weather and water temp dropping . Up until last week some good sized snoek 4 to 8kg have been coming out mainly at ballito point however these bigger fish seem to have moved off and been replaced by smaller 1 to 3kg fish would be interisting to know if they have moved down south with the bait fish I have noticed over the last few years that the bigger snoek come and leave with the big shoals of bait fish while the smaller snoek tend to hang around .

The ocean has been pretty much unfishable in my area. It is calming down a bit now, but has got very brown from the rivers coming down. Lots of rain here this week. Sunday was a pearler, but I couldn't fish as I was helping the guys to launch at our Ski Boat club comp.
