What would you consider to be the ultimate Grinder Rod able to tackle both edibles and ineds matched to the top end daiwa (Dogfight) Shimano Stella reels.

Personally I don't think those are the correct reels to be using. None of them come with a long cast spool as far as I am aware which is important. Rather look at the shimano ultegra or the new bullseye. In the daiwa range have a look at the windcast.

Advising on a rod is very difficult as the action doesn't suit everyone. For instance I LOVE my T flex 3 piece from gremlins but a lot of people haven't liked it.

Is the Gremlins P6 the T-Flex Rod as I have one of those. I am looking to move to the Grinder type reels and I am looking for a replacement for the HMG Medium Shark extreme. I will contact Gremlins and see what they have.

Yup the P6 is built on the T flex blank.

I don't think you will find something to replace the shark extreme in the grinder range. The shark extreme is designed to land monster fish. As far as grinders have progressed they are still not at that level. Fighting a 100kg fish on braid in deep water will hurt you. UA member Action Man and his mate were some of the first people to fish in earnest for big non eds on grinders and braid and landed some huge fish off the beach with them. I know that Action will not fish with the grinder in the kei for non eds after being absolutely boxed by a big bronzie.

My advice would be to keep your shark extreme for targeting the true monsters and use the P6 when fishing the beaches.

Remember also that you can't slide with the grinder setups which is another reason to hang on to the shark extreme

Point noted. Why can't you slide on a grinder setup?

Well you can but with extreme cost and difficulty. The slide doesn't really go out very easily. The thinner line is easily damaged and replacing braid is a huge cost. The only way to use it would be to add a section of very thick braid. Something like 100lb braid or use a length of mono top shot. This all defeats the object of using braid though. Unless your problem is casting a multiplier? In that case I would advise you to learn to throw them. It seems extremely difficult but it opens up a whole world of possibilities that you will be losing out on if you don't learn to use a multiplier
