Finally took the leap and created a Tackle warehouse account, only benefit is easier checkout, still have to pay upfront before delivery :blush:

only thing I need to save on now is 1000yrd spools of line and some other small bits and ends, if I get to go to Canada before I submit to the required NEED, well then BPS will be e tad more expensive, but then I'll save on shipping.

So R9k later (just some deep cranks, rattletraps, weird spinner-baits and the odd cable or two) not forgetting the recent bill in NY that was R35k, I should start looking at building the bigger Phantom18 with a seriousness that is unrivalled. :shk

Sounds like you need to build a bigger warehouse just to accommodate all the tackle. Just saying.

Needed 30lb braid for 4 different spools as well as a bit of 50lb... After doing quite a bit of research I decided to give Tasline a try. It arrived in the post today... It feels amazing. Can't wait to test it on an angry fish.

On my recent trip through Miami my BPS account wan't nearly as bad as it normally is when I get to where there is one.


One thing I did get that I struggle to get here is some 1 ounce Punch Weights and some 50lb Seaguar Flipping Braid, hopefully now I can say there's no place where I can't present some worm to a bass :hnthnt:

Will do boet... I'll only get to use it next month though. I bought from Busted Fishing in Oz... Great company, good people to deal with. Man that stuff feels like silk  :clwn

So having used my 30lb Tasline now, I can honestly say that it's everything it's cracked up to be. I used it at Lazarus Banks on a Saltiga 4000 on my Phenix Blue Diamond. The stuff casts a Continental Mile, gave no grief with wind knots, knotted (FG to 60lb flouro) without failure and was just a pleasure to use. My only failure was about 25 minutes into a tussle with a bus YFT (a fish far better suited to my heavy tackle) when the fish was chased by a shark and it took off at the most blistering pace. The Saltiga literally screamed and the braid snapped in the guides, suggesting that it just got too hot. If that ever happens to me again, I hope I have the presence of mind to straight stick it and slack off the drag till the fish is away from the taxman... Well it's a great theory anyway. But I'm very happy with the Tasline.

Went to Mias in Woodmead yesterday. Bought nothing. Could not even get excited. Am I going through a mid life crisis?
