Recently gave a Reel in for minor repairs in Centurion- Cost for Repairs -----R 30.
Week later Wife and I (she also fishes) go in to pick it up.
Ahem ......... about R 3500 later - we both walk out withe the repaired reel and a complete new Rod and reel set with extras,  for each of us ............Man that was a costly repair job!

  had a relapse, found this unused rod (still had the tag through the first eye) in the garage, yes I know it should not even be mentioned!!!! anyhow, I immediately realised that I will need a reel for this new found rod, so I had to buy two new reels and some line and some sinkers and lures and hooks......

Think I need to relinquish this effort of combatting this recurring addiction
When I die, will somebody please dress up as the Grim Reaper and attend, don't need to do or say anything, just stand there!

Went to Basil Manning and left with a new rod (for trolling for garrick in the harbour) and a range of hooks, flouro, scissors etc......spent more than I thought I would  - and fortunately had R250 in my "frequent buyer card"  - so that lessened the blow on my credit card - as usual, I left the till slip in the shop - its way to dangerous putting it into my pocket or wallet where the missus can find it!

In the name of sanity you need to come clean and divulge what caused the insanity.

It is this thread, I vote that it be closed and removed completely, that way most will not have constant relapses and if ever the wives gets hold of our  UA logon credentials, I and most other members won't face serious personal difficulties !!!
