UA ADMIN must see if they cannot start a support group for our better halves that always seem to have issues with our fishing equipment, seriously I don't have a problem, it is merely a problem because she cannot understand the necessity of all the stuff and so i have to hide it and there's the problem.

My  wife does fish from time to time and supports my fishing additiction to an extent. But when I first started fishing, I think she thought "fishing" meant having a rod, a reel, a hook, a lure and some line for all styles of angling. Nowadays she actaually approves of my lures being displayed in the living room but when I talk about visiting a tackle shop, I need to motivate very carefully.

Ja, Mike. I bought 3 great rods from you many moons ago and I've only used one of them once so far..
The problem is not too much tackle - the problem is that we don't fish often enough to use all the tackle.
Now we feel guilty.

now this is a developing idea - a way to solve our addiction..... Why dont we create a virtual tackle shop   - and we trade our excesses with each other instead of going into tackle shops. We dont use those excesses anyway.


We could do it just by displaying our excess wares by posting pics - and then "purchasing" from others by down loading the pics and stashing them into a discreet folder on your hard drive. When you "sell" you delete the pic from the folder. Everything valued in UA$


that way you can buy as much as you like - and never spend a rand. You can go into your folder and admire all the things you have bought!

Told the wife I was going to Solly's in Booysens this morning,   to check for a rod,she said enjoy and kept on painting the lounge    ended up buying lots pf plastics, line and hooks, now I haven't got any crimps or trace wire  so I will have to go back
