Monday 11/5

Morning

Light and variable winds with smooth seas. Small long period swell.
Seas: SW 1.6 meters at 12 sec.
Winds: WNW 3 to 4 knots

Afternoon

Breezy whitecapping conditions with moderate choppy seas. Small long period swell.
Seas: SW 1.5 meters at 11 seconds
Winds: WSW 11 to 15 knots

Tuesday 11/6

Morning

Light winds with a slight chop. Small long period swell.
Seas: SW 1.3 meters at 11 sec.
Winds: WNW 8 to 10 knots

Afternoon

Hi PH.... Buoyweather, it a pay site but worth the spend, I find windfinder (free) is also very accurate for our area.

boats do well today. guys got the odd fish. saw one big one being offloaded, and hear another got 45mile off the point. we cancelled for tomorrow

Fish quite far to the south. Saturday was not a good day. Plenty of blanks. Top boat had 5, next had 2. Very good weights though - smallest I heard of was 82. Unpleasant conditions as well. There are tail at Rocky Bank though and the snoek are back in force.

Ya we were out yesterday again, but for tail. cancelled on the deep. Fish were very far out but again very few. heard of a few longfin, and one or two YF.

We made the right decision because there was a great days fishing for tail at rocky bank. the fish came up after 2pm and it was mayhem. bit 8kg class fish boiling on the surface. often we were 4up all on spinning gear. was reefed a couple of fimes by some busses.

Its a real pity that some pple mess it up for all by rushing onto the fish and getting the shoals to sound. happened time and time again

Was invited to come down to cape town to fish on Dr Fish.
Weather was supposed to be great but looks like the weatherman had got it all wrong!
Nevertheless, Dr Fish always gets the fish and this time was no exception!
5 YFT for the daygiving an average of 90.6kg!

Thats not alot of fish but good quality stuff!
I managed 2 out of the 5, 96kg and 93kg. im completely stoked, was an awesome experience for me!

Thanx to Miles and crew!!!

oh yeah, picked up 20 or so Yellowtail on the way back on bungees, good fun.
