The Onda
« on: July 02, 2012, 02:28:22 PM »
Seems as if the Onde Onde has re-surfaced as "The Onda".  Now on sale at The Kingfisher and doesnt seem too bad at all.  Bought a couple and now would like to know what singles would be suitable.  Comes in 2 sizes, 23gr and 35gr.  What size single for each size??

I use a # 3 Big Gun (recomended by Reefs and Kinfisher) Remember to add an additional split ring and the hook must point upwards. Shad went mad on mine on Sat, some shad the size of the onda.
A bad days fishing is better than sitting at home moping.

Could be WK.  I bought mine at the local here in Empangeni and the 23gr sells for R53 and the 35gr goes for R60.  Just a couple of rands diff compared to Kingfisher so I decided to support our local shop

The Big Gun is made by Mustad?  Which size lure were you using CLS? 23g or 35g

Rods, Kingfisher has acquired the know-how from Maria to reproduce that lure. Taken almost 2 years to get back into production. Odd one in the batches that slightly off but overall they're producing so epic fish with their trademark action!!

As CLS says that hook size is good and yes it's a Mustad hook.

Yes, just be sure to use forged rings
