Reefz what is the advantage of the stinger as opposed to a hook attached via a split ring
Important: You can't use Stinger Hooks on any wooden based lure (Poppers are generally made with wood). The Stingers only work on Teflon/metal based lures where the fishes teeth will bounce/slip off the lure and (hopefully) onto the Stinger trailing behind.
I am not sure that a circle hook would be such a good idea on a plug. A circle hook needs to be tentioned so it can move to the corner of the mouth. If a fish is going to bite a plug and feel it is not a bait fish it will reject it quickly. I doubt you will have time to set the circle hooks. Circle hooks work awesome on baits that give the fish time to ingest the bait. Tony and Tommo wil be albe to assit much more in detail but this is my 2c.
