Oct-Nov for the bigger fish (>80). April - June for plenty of good fish (40-80) with bigger ones in between.
Try Two Oceans or South Seas Safaris - from Simonstown or Gordons Bay. Both top skippers.

Eish we traveled about 60 miles out to get to fish. Then a storm came up and we had to traverse mountains to get back home. took us 8 hours to get back and it was a big boat, but was dwarfed by the size of the waves.

I know that feeling, Have sailed past their many times in my life before delivering boats. When you sailing a 38 foot boat and the top of the swels is higher then your mast you must know that you are in the @#$$@.

Its the time when you make piece.
