Vakansie plek gesoek
« on: October 10, 2011, 05:34:23 PM »
Effe ticked off maar dinge gebeur.

It's not too late to phone around for available accomodation?

We always camp and never book. Try private caravan parks, the "official" spots are always "full".
We favour the garden route area and never had a major issue of not finding accomodation. Many people also cancel or never pitch up.
Good luck.

I agree with PH, it is not too late to phone around. Decide on an area where you want to go and start phoning the caravan parks. Put your name on the waiting list if they are full and ask them if they can recommend other accommodation in the area. Check the internet for a list of places in the area. Hoeveel mense is julle en in watter prysklas soek jy verblyf?

one of the things that I am considering, overland trip. But the misses - you know them, always want that sense of security and bla bla bla, seeing we have a 3y.o

Consider this:

You want to go to Waenhuiskrans (Arniston). It's late afternoon when  you reach Bredasdorp. Phone Waenhuiskranz and they (probably will) tell you "no accomodation". You then park off at Bredasdorop for the evening - always space available.
The example is a bit extreme but  there is no need to feel insecure. That's how one discovers exciting new places. :-)
