Awesome tube!  (clap) + cred for the bling. :hehe:
I have my end caps, just waiting for the pipe. I want to do my avatar but I can't get hold of the guy that did the original.  :-(

Ok here's my new bling bling  :ult: rod tube!!

Got some 20cm Plumbing pipe... cleaned it with Thinners. Spray Painted it with a few coats of Rustoleum "Hammered paint for plastic" - no primer necessary. Gave it a gun metal finish. Then I got some vinyls made, stuck them on and woopie doo!

If anyone needs beautiful Vinyl stickers made for any purpose... cars, windows etc... I can readily recommend ET on this site... it's what he does professionally. Koos' vinyl's that he made are absolutely brilliant!! Thanks Koos!

Nice rod tubes Reefz... Looks great. (clap)

Does anyone know if  you get the end caps for an 80mm PVC pipe? I can only find for 50mm which is too narrow for anything but my ultra light dropshot rod, and for a 110mm pipe but that is too big for just one rod. I have tried builders warehouse but none of their branches keep the caps

Just made one for my ultra light dropshot rod (yes I do have light tackle) now as soon as I can track down the end caps for 80mm tubing I'll make some for my proper rods w;k

Almost exactly the same as yours. Cleaned everything with thinners sprayed a couple of coats of grey onto the tube and sprayed the end caps red patience is a virtue here if you don't let it dry it will run. Then on the tube I sprayed the tips red and let it sort of fade down to the grey. Then I put some pvc weld onto the screw adaptors and pushed them down onto the tube. Let that dry for the day. I also added one of the clear UA stickers which looks really great almost like the words of been sprayed onto the tube not stuck on. Finally once everything was dry I sprayed a few coats of clear lacquer on to it all. I hope its not going to scratch easily because I didn't use the fancy rustoleum paint. I figured for this small tube I'd experiment with the cheaper paints if it works then great if not well lesson learnt

Awesome tube, Half-Pint!  (clap) + cred
Mine is assembled and only needs a nice coat of paint. I am also worried about scratching  :-( My tube is 2.1m long and it is a bit bulky but I can fit my 14ft Beach Master, Exage 110H and my 7ft one piece light tackle rod in it. I just hope they don't give my flack at the airport because of the length.  :dunno:
