Hi vismal,

As far as I am aware...A monster of a couta was landed by Connie Steyn in the Transkei on July 22 2007 - one of 40.734kg on a live shad. This beauty, which took 20 to 30 minutes to land, is apparently a South African record for heavy tackle, pending verification.
