Yeah,once in a life time catch off the surf.Heard another angler got two smaller ones in the BAY the same day.Must be true what they say,they come on the bite just before the storm comes.Heard of a few pommies also coming out at tongaat the same day.

Hi Guys,

These anglers are mates of mine. Bait was a whole bonnie dropped miles out with a dingle. Strange thing, these guys put out a shad on a couta trace with a float and that wasn't touched. The couta picked up the bonnie on the ground.

Probably because Couta feed in the bottom 3rd of the water column!  (clap)

It is an Aquacat Dinglehopper. A R/c bait boat designed to punch through the surf taking your bait out with it.

Hi Benni,

Suspended in the water column I can understand but with a conventional fixed shark trace with a very short sinker snoot, this bait must have been on the ground.

I was fasinated with Neil's use of this dingle hopper.. (Aquacat Dinglehopper. A R/c bait boat firsly and only made in south Africa) so I did some research for the ones who haven't seen how it work's just like myself.. because this is one thing I will def get to target shark's from the beach.

I can only imagine what this little bugger costs. The fresh water bait boats are already damn expensive so this one is probably twice the price.

Would love to find out though as I am tired of all the kraaineste.

They are a bit pricey, but you know what they say" they one with most toys wins"

I payed R 7K for mine as it was second hand. Since then they have improved on the model with the turbo version. This little boat is faster and has a better cooling system.Dean purchased his for R12500.00 about 2 years back. He has already caught 3 couta off the beach ( 19kg - Beachwood / 24kg - Tinley high rocks and this one)
