I know it's dated, but what a wonderful report. 
I had a good laugh at your description of the rod overboard incident.
Just hope my upcoming St Laz trip can be half as rewarding.

  rod overboard... man overboard... eish... 

That freedive that the Skipper made down to 17m to retrieve the rod... he nearly didn't make it back! Almost passed out on resurfacing. Luckily we grabbed a hold of him otherwise he would have gone under again.

I was only able to:

2) catch some bottoms (they were the only ones committing to the jigs)

but definitely that reel has good juju
