Marlin fishing Richardsbay
« on: July 04, 2010, 07:11:01 PM »
We had an excellent trip. Got 3 marlin for the weekend, all released. One stripey, one blue of around 120 kg and one of about 150 kg. Managed to raise another 2 fish that was not interedsted in the lures.

We got the stripey on a black/purple Moldcraft Bobby Brown, the first blue on a green/charteusse Bahama Venus lure, and the second blue on a Williamson BBC red/Black

We trolled at 7 knots, the sea was very calm. Got two fish on the 500m and one on the 1000m

Wonderful to see the guys posing with a Blue flag instead of a majestic monster strung up by it's tail from a crane!

Awesome stuff - cred to guys!
