Unfortunately there are too many lurkers out there who are not willing to share info, but MOST annoyingly, come on here often to ask for advice via PM's. No posts to their names, but send PM's for 'secrets'!!

This forum is an open sharing facility, henceforth you need to be a regular contributor (Senior member) to use the PM (Private Messaging) system.

If you need help or have questions, start a thread and members will help you, AND OTHERS!

It is funny that they take the time, and made the effort, to email you to tell you how bad the forum is. If the forum is so bad, move along... Dodo!

I am on several whatsapp fishing groups where the guys freely share whats happening,
however I have an acquaintance who is always bemoaning and complaining about the information being shared.
The joke is that when he needs info he always asks what the forum news is.....
.. nothing further needs to be said

No just , comlaining.

It’s also winter , and lock down . Guys are frustrated and annoyed with our current situation .

But alas , lurkers be lurking.

It’s not as much as contributions , like a was on about years ago . It’s a about partaking .

I just have some time constraints , that leaves me high and dry

Pretty sure , I know of two clowns , that like to be sterk , over the inter webs .

There will always be haters. If they dont like the rules, then they should leave. Unfortunately it is the reality!!
I used to to be on the Rock and Surf forum years ago. Then everyone started doing the facebook thing at a time when I stopped. I hate using facebook, it is an utter waste of time and so on.
I recently came across this forum searching for something and I am really grateful!!

It's not the worst idea in the world. Nowhere near as bad as the ban on booze at the moment of course.
I joined to buy a boat initially that Rory wouldn't sell. Then I realised the extent of the knowledge repository.
Always going to get trolls , lurkers and those who only join to sell. Need to keep them in check somehow.
I too was irritated in the beginning but , eventually got over myself.

I am on bikehub, and this is becoming a mega problem there. Pretty soon its gonna be out of control, as there has been a couple of bad dealings recently.
Non the less, this forum is an extreme wealth of knowledge and once again THANK YOU everyone. I dont post much, but will when I can contribute. You guys know more than me.

Under your Account settings is a check box preference allowing members to e-mail you or not. I have unchecked it for you. No-one can e-mail you now.
