Hello Chaps, we just got back from a trip to Inhaca. The fishing was "ON" and the the weather was fantastic.
We arrived Monday the 22nd and off loaded and set up the gear.
Tuesday we launched at 5 and and we got busy with fish early, it got to a point when the reel screamed, it was offered around the boat a couple of times before somebody actually accepted it
We ended the day with 7 yft, 3 dorries and a Sailfish release and some bonnies
Wednesday, we went south to try for some Couta off Santa Maria, we managed one Couta before bumping into some mates who were taking a 32 Magun up to Baz. We tied onto the 32 and jumped aboard for for a beer and a catch up. They decided to stay the night at Inhaca with us. We ended the day with 2 dorries, 2 yft and 1 couta
Wednesday, we took off and borrowed a mates land rover and explored the Island. We went up to the light house and then down to the beach to spin a bit but got nothing.
Thursday, we decided to go deep and check out the billies. We managed to raise 3. The first one stuck and we had it on for just under a hour. We got it on the surface about 20m from the boat and when it turned towards us the hook pulled
The second one popped up about 10 minutes later and smashed a lure with it bill before leaving us.
The third one came up about a hour later and smashed the flippy floppy in front of the shot gun lure and ducked.
We ended the day with some yft's
Friday we decided to go for game fish and found a drum floating about 40 km off shore. We buzzed it and went tight with a Dorrie which we boated. When we passed we saw a school of dorries close to the drum, so we took out the flick sticks to spin for them.
We had so much fun on the light tackle, we hooked 6 and boat 3.
We ended the day with 4 dorries and 1 yft.
Saturday was our last fishing day, we went deep for marlin but actually just did a lot of "boot ry" around the ocean

. We came across some yft on the surface and got a nice one on a flick stick.
Sunday we left to come home
What a epic trip............
