not going to work for leader to tippet when trout fishing......

Americans always think that they need some kind of complicated and expensive thing to do simple things....like tying a decent knot

Bulky, expensive, complicated (technologically) and not as effective as tying a knot... Pass.


... Also, to be pedantic, not actually a "welder" since welding is the fusion of the base materials to one another... More of a gluer

Whew... I so enjoy tieing knots, so I'm relieved that I don't have to buy this gimmick!

Actually, that's something I wanted to say as well... Knots are so much part of fishing. I love practicing knots at my kitchen table before a big trip. I'd feel like such a cop-out with this machine.

I think the drop test they did would suit the weld as it would have a bit of give compared to a knot, but in real life the continued pressure of a fish or even a strike would be more like the Salt strong test. Celebs come cheap now days
