For some reason if something becomes successful or popular it will be taken off the market. It has happened to hooks, lines, lures and it happened to the insanely popular Maria Onde Ondas. I have tried the alternatives and none of them swam the way I liked.........so I decided to make my own. What started out as some lures for myself.....became some lures for some mates......became Swindler Lures.
Swindler Lures being a name under which I can market a number of custom products from lures, to jig heads, to slide clips etc etc.
The lure which prompted this whole thing is my answer to the Onda, which I call a Fishstick, for now it comes in two sizes 85mm/22g and 100mm/35g with a larger one to be added later. The weight position is what made the original Ondas work and its where all the other copies fall down. I did lots of testing and gave lures to some of the most respected lure anglers in the country (some of whom were responsible for the craze surrounding the Onda in the first place) and the fact that they keep coming back for more tells me that they are right.
These lures are also not painted the colour is inside the resin itself so it can never be chewed off......if it gets totally scratched up.....sand it down and polish it with something like brasso and its good as new.
The Fishstick 100/35, like the Onda, is primarily a lure for the boat or ski angler but can obviously be used with deadly effect from the shore and the 85/22 is a killer in the estuaries. Its only weakness, like all resin lures is that it won't stand up to being smacked into rocks, so places where you have to flip your lures over ledges etc at the end of the retrieve are not the place to fish them.
As I mentioned before these are custom lures, I don't have standard colours, and I only make to order. So you can have any colour combination or pattern or design that you want.......within reason :clwn. Every lure is unique and even a remake of a previous lure may vary in colour to a point.
I have been approached by some big players with regards to distribution, but for now they will only be available from me, as I'm keen to keep the whole handmade, custom vibe going.

Dewald there is no epoxy......that is the resin that has been sanded and polished......because the colour is IN the resin they don't need any epoxy coating.

Another Swindler Lures product is a 1.75oz weedless swivel jig head......when it comes to throwing plastics for kob, if you not fishing weedless then you are throwing in the wrong places........

I was going to suggest coming up with a good quality jig head. It seems to go "Berkley Nitro" for top $, then absolute rubbish. I wish there was a good quality intermediate at a more affordable price than the Nitro.

In terms of fishing artificials for kob there is not a single jig head made outside of the Eastern Cape that I would touch........I have yet to see an imported jig with an appropriate sized hook.
If you look carefully at the pics you will see the 6/0 Eagle Claw bass hook is not fixed in the head......it is able to swivel left and right.
