What style of freshwater fishing are you looking to do and are you staying at a trout venue or just in town?
Havent fished Lydenburg specifically but the adjacent towns and its all pretty much skewed towards trout and flyfishing from Belfast all the way up to Sabie. Should come across bass at most waters as well.
Not sure of where the public waters are in Lydenburg though, sorry.
Maybe its worth giving the folks at Mavungana in Dullstroom a call, they should know the area pretty well.
