It's such an easy knot to do with the rod in a holder and the tag end in your teeth. Best part is that the noisy, troublesome one on the boat can't carry on talking k#k while hes tying it.

The biggest advantage an fg has over a pr knot is that it does not require a tool or 3. The problem with all the fuss around the fg knot, and the fact that some struggle to tie it is that it creates a market for videos like this.
