Diy Bait Board for the boat
« on: July 31, 2016, 05:31:51 PM »
So i finally got down to making a bait board for my boat. I priced around to buy one and the cheapest i could find was around R1400 so i decided to make my own. Glad i did cos it cost me around R600 all in and not too much of my time.
So heres my disclaimer.....
Im really no good with my hands and im most certain that almost all of you are able to do a much better job than i did but i thought i would share my small project with you anyways. Always a good feeling to make something yourself especially when youre not too good at these things.

Materials used:
Polyethylene board cut to size (in my case 450*350)
Polyethylene strips for the boarder
Stainless steel plate 150x150
Stainless steel pipe to fit in rod holder (mine was 32mm )
Stainless steel cap screws 40x10
Stainless steel csk 40x8

Quite self explantory so ill let the pics tell the rest of the story....

Man I love DIY and the fact that peeps here aren't scared to get their hands dirty in trying things. And that looks good, love the slit/gap at the rear that you thought of to allow for drainage to the rear!!!!
