I think it would be really good for you and the family Kev - I can't remember if there was a swimming pool, but the river mouth (you can drive there and its a short walk from where you park) or Mdumbi would be awesome for Kim and Connor.  They have a "wellness centre" as well, so Kim can go for some beauty treatment while you babysit  :rotfl

I would say its worth a trip especially if you have a boat we had great fun drifting up the lagoon on a pushing tide, and the normal suspects off the beach. Its a long way from JHB though we normally stopped in underberg on the way back for a couple of nights to break the trip, have they still got that stupid stop and take all your pork products away some were along the way for foot and mouth or something allthough that was a good 5 years back

Hi there Krissi, I've not been to anchorage for a few years now. It sounds like ownership may have changed? Last time I was there it was owned by Denzel. The place was in need of some maintenance, which is the main reason we have been visiting alternative destinations. Would love to revisit.

Hi Trevour

We did meet the owner but I don't recall his first name - it is owned by the Thurston family.  Yes, I believe it was pretty run down, but as I mentioned, they were busy renovating, painting and working on the rooms.  The chalets we showered in were clean, newly painted and looked great.  I certainly would not hesitate to stay there again.
