Spiderwire Braid
« on: November 30, 2015, 09:38:11 AM »
Hi guys, need to spool quite a few of my reels and cannot afford to break the bank, I have used spiderwire before briefly (On a borrowed reel), and did not seem too bad.

What are your guys experience with the spiderwire braid?

Any cheaper comparisons that could be better/similar?

I have been using Rovex Viros extensively over the past few years and have been happy with it, although it does not last as long as I want it to.

Walks , know this Blokes who’s friends brother-in-law’s Mate at works cousins son’s teachers pastor fishes with it and apparently no bad as a braid backing . How about taking your reel to All Out Angling and letting them spoon your reel with just enough braid instead of spending your Drug money on a full spoon of braid . Know they sell all the top braid brand by the meter.:????

The problem is two of my reels (On the weekend) got tangled up when a 1kg Barbel decided to take a 300 gram bait in the middle of the night and go crazy over all my lines. It basically beached himself... So I am looking for full spools, but will check out All Out Angling, so you saying spiderwire as topshot is no good?

Walks , wind knots can cause a Oke to use words that will not make your mother proud of your. Just make sure the braid you do choose is cast friendly .

Have a look here as well : http://www.tacklesa.co.za/products/hmp.aspx

WK, I tried Spiderwire on a few of my light spinning setups, I had big wind knot problems. This was many moons ago, when it was very new on the market. I prefer Fireline on my light stuff.

30lb I would try the HMP braid. Better quality and much cheaper than the quality comparable braids
