Tried my hand at some papgooi

for the 1^st time in many years at Roodt Resort . Nice clean resort and closer than the Vaal from Randburg . Lots of fish , just a tad busy to my liking. I fished the second last Lapa and was happy with the reward of my 5 hour session. Caught all my fish on FX Bol dip and a plain floaty.

Good fun and will recommend the resort for a day session .

, but this place gets packed and they dont let Riff Raff in. So yourself , Homes , Zet , Pete , Spieks and Pike might not get in.

.. reckon theres any bass in there , only thing i know about pap is that its like a breakfast cereal stuff , never tried putting pronutro on a hook before , should be fun ....

Not sure if it is at Rand Water Pump station , but you turn left on to a dirt road at the Kromvlei Cemerty

Hi Dodger

Its the dam just past the Panorama air field.
if you go down Klipriver past the BIG robot at Xumbug land about 1km down the road you get a road going right at the little hangar. Down that road about 2km you get the yellow sign and gate on your right just before the cemetery.
Rust In Orbi Resort you can find them on google earth.

That last one is a nice size for that dam these days.
Use to fish there quite often a while back and always caught a couple.

The Bass dam use to be a lekker get away close to home but they drained it a while back to clean it up again and think most of the fish got out. Haven't been back since.

The Bass dam also had better carp fishing than the carp dam with the average size being 2-4kg but I think that is all gone.

If you want to organize a social you can look to book out the middle of the venue plus there is place for the kids to play and chalets for the woman to sleep.
