The one we landed took a little red/white jet feather, the one we lost took a Halco red/White 8m Crazy Deep

were you running wire on the feather?

No, it was one of those Williamson's that has that tail with a stainless clip that's about 30mm long and I put a long shank hook on

OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - Durban - 1st March 2015
Wow its already March, this year is flying.
Went out fishing with my family today for a few hours with a late launch. Conditions were gorgeous with flat seas, clear warm blue water. Am proud of my boy Jesse who landed a great Yellowfin Tuna today.

Well done Jesse!
Now you don't need to do washing for a year.

Congrats boy.
Congrats to a very proud dad as well!

OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - Durban - 7th March 2015
We had a short charter this morning for a few hours, sea conditions were great with flat seas, the water was cold and sitting just above and below 23deg.C. We trolled for about 2.5hrs and had 4 good hook ups and each fish came off leaving me very frustrated. We then stopped and did some bottom fishing for 1 hour and boated 22 fish in that time, all the fish were decent sizes with Bronze Bream, Slinger, Englishman, Soldier Bream in the mix and all the men were out-fished by the lady on board

OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT - Durban - 9th March 2015
Not much to report, was a very difficult day, I tried every trick in the book to get some Tuna but did not even see activity on the sounder, many strange current lines and the thermocline was all over the place, temperature changes were erratic and the S-N current was screaming. I went inshore right behind the backline as I saw some bird activity there and we managed some Sarda-Sarda on Halcos. Went out as deep as 300m and all we saw was an unusual amount of Sunfish.
