Kosi Bay Tips and Reports

HI everyone.... A friend of mine has a house in the Kosi bay area and we have been going there quite often over the past year. Always with the Fishing Rods. We unfortunately have not as yet have any luck whatsoever in landing anything.... We mainly fish at Banghanek but have also been at Black Rock as well as Rocktailbay..... All of the times was during the day and we fished the whole day each time..... Can anyone please give us some tips on what we might be doing wrong and also which spots are the best.... Thanks

Hi Andre, Fishing during daylight hours is not quite the ideal time of day to fish.

Fishing is best over high tide so you should best have your baits in from about two hours before high tide, no matter time of day even if at midnight. Best fishing is at daybreak and sunset especially when it coincides with high tide, and night time also tends to be more productive than during the day especially in such clear water as at Kosi Bay.

Important is to persist, have your line in the water as often as possible, and follow the good advice from fellow successful anglers on the forum.
