Gave it some more thought ....... It has always been on a Wednesday, and generally the last Wednesday of the month. So by my guestimate, that will make it the 25th of May!

Also have not seen any ads either (and their website is not the best ........), but was at Mias this week, and the sales staff confirmed it is on Wednesday.

The government has warned me about deviations from the sanctioned list.

i gave up on that just walk in , get the tunnel vision , 1000yard stare , and shop on , figure it all out in the parking lot or at home with the man cave door locked and some beers , come out when all the lights are off and all are asleep ..

Went through to Woodmead at 08:30 this morning. No huge crowds, in fact it was quite quiet. Was expecting to see more people there. Didn't spend a fortune. Some of my friends bought rods and reels, and at half price, they were a good deal. I bought some line and some braid, 1 Halco Twisty spoon, some swivels and some fastach clips to play with. I thought I got a good deal on the stuff I bought. I was looking for some Owner Hyperwire split rings, but they did not have any. Will pop in to the Randburg branch on the way home and see if they have any.

My strategy paid off by going to the Randburg Mias. I spoilt myself to a 5wt Xplorer T50 and a 9wt Xplorer guide 2

and lines and reels and a bunch of fly tying stuff. Might have gone a little over budget

Popped into the Randburg Mias and got the split rings I was looking for. Very nearly got a nice 11 foot spinning rod, but managed to get out of there unscathed.
