Dredge bars have been around for a few years and are very popular in the USA. These can be used with plastics or baits and are very effective teasers for both game- and billfish.
Here's one I've recently completed. I used two fiberglass tent-poles secured by iron putty. A stainless steel wire runs in the middle and serves as the attaching point for the towing cord and weight and also for the fifth chain.
I'll be using daisy chains of squid but the design can easily accommodate rigged dead baits (mullets or halfbeaks). Was also thinking that those plastic rulers used as teasers (see Bwana's teaser
http://www.ultimateangling.co.za/index.php?topic=13781.0) would also work.
Other teasers I'll also use are those lumo paddle tails used for dropshot. On clouded days I'm sure these will do some magic.
Will primarily use it when targeting gamefish and sailies.
