Now all I need to do is clip the bait to the sinker en laat waai !!  :hnthnt:  I feel that with this presentation you have better chances for a hook-up as you have the Circle on top and your J at the bottom...

You still get the added distance as you would using a DD...

Any comments are welcome

The circle is still "lose" enough for it to move as it lies between the two cutlets and not into the flesh of the bait... :fshstry

Maasbanker why using a circle hook? when you can just do two 'J" hooks. Don't see the reason for the circle ?

Sure, I can use two J's but I'm just showing an alternative to the DD...

Normally I use two J's

Baiting circle hooks
« Reply #45 on: April 20, 2014, 06:37:39 PM »
After reading many clever techniques for baiting circle hooks, my way for smaller baits is to cut a piece of my '' jammer lappie'' cleaning cloth into pinkie to thumb size pennant shaped triangles, the bait prawn, mud prawn, even 'past sell by' sardine, is bound onto the wider side with cotton of choice. The sharp tip of cloth is hooked onto the circle hook leaving a small gap between the bait and hook . I find the bait swings freely and the bait survives short bites mostly intact, hooking up on a later fish that swallows the bait. Hope this helps someone.
My wife allows me to keep all the fishing tackle I can hide.

Hiya guys, just a few pics and tips to add to the ready files, I built these danglers this am.

using 1mm nylon - secure to the hook with a centuri knot cut off a length of line and slide over a float.
Finally make a stopper knot on the end and use a lighter to burn the end for more safety...and whalla yur dingle dangle.

I have used steel wire, but the nylon imo is better and more flexible.

Use it/Dont use it.

Good stuff Psy!  :+ cred:
Wouldn't it be an idea to make a loop at the bottom of the float so that you can clip your sinker?

Reefs

Yah, but its difficult to get a knot too close.....or that close/near to the float!

I want to target a cracker with that rig - fastened onto a limited slider. So the clip sinker doesn't really phase me;... we throw over the fish in any case.

But Ill work on it, maybe a few others (braniacs)     can come up 'withasolushern' ? :craz:
