actually a very good idea even if its just for back up, problem is in remote places it might be removed by midnight shoppers :unhap

We dont use a battery on the trailer at all for the winch , as the shoppers are full up.  I have just extended a connection directly from the vehicle. We also have a really long one that can connect to the boat battery in an emergency.

1 step ahead of that in the second pic you can see there is a bolt on the left have ordered a lock that will fit the 10mm hole and trust me you can`t remove the batt without cutting the square lock and opening the "door".

I need a batt there when launching on the farm with the tractor.
Now i can strap the fridge onto the boat when traveling and connect it to the batt.

MXDuro, looks better everyday!

Just one observation, watch those holes you drill through or weld on the galvanising, in a year or so that's where the rust will begin.

Hey Clive i have used cold galvanizing spray on all the holes drilled (very difficult to weld on galvanizing) and the battery bracket is "gun coated" a type of powder coating that they use in corrosive conditions. Will strip the axle and leaf springs in the winter to get the same gun coat done.

What size cable did u use this small 2500 lbs winch showed a peak of 52.2 Amps with 16 mm2 cable.

and 12.75 volts with a new battery.

Morning boys, the new "TA" transporter arrives the first week of April. Shoot, time goes slowly when you have to wait.
First comp will be the BSBC iNdlovu, and we will get HAMMERED. YEA BABY :hyst: .

Yip Lebaka, pimp your ride. You will dig the wrap that is going on the new one.

Sorry to change the topic but, How are the bundles of joy Zetti ?
