Am report on our East Coast from Gonubie to Kei

  Good morning East Coasters , while the Easter weekend did not seem to produce too many catches , all that west has certainly cleaned the water and the temps are hovering around the 20 mark...[/size]I do believe the shad are making an appearance and while many fisherman see shad as bait , shad fever is always an exciting time and it gets the good ole fishing juices flowing...[/font]
[/color][/size]Onto this weekends fishing , we have some nice looking early AM low tides and as you all know our Jikeleza fishes well on the outgoing to low tides and especially early AM and again in the late arvie early evening , for those that prefer a later start to the days fishing sessions...
Tomorrow sees you with a low at 07h09 and on Sunday at 07h51...Both mornings will have light to no wind and with this high pressure settled over our coast its with a fairly steady barometer at around 1021hpk....now I have never really been a fan of a steady barometer , a moving barometer is almost always better and a rising one even better ...BUT ...we have a good sea with a 4 to 5 foot inshore swell running and a nice colour too...[/font]
Although last weekend the east only came through late on Monday evening and then switched to west again , lets not be surprised IF the two fronts off of CT push their way through and hit us mid way through this weekend....
Once again . with these tides you can look at the deep water points such as Gonubie , kwlerga , GlenGariff , Bulugha , Cintsa and even push as far as the Cefani rocks to the left of the river...
These types of sea conditions also suit Haga areas as well as Double mouth...Soo...many options and choices this weekend along our Jikeleza ...
I for one will be fishing my local spot tomorrow AM in the Gonubie areas and then on Sunday , with the light north wester predicted , will make a trippie out to Bulugha Point...
Well Folks , it certainly looks like a good weekend to get out and about as far as the weather goes and please be aware of those tides as they are on the turn to push ...we are heading into a dark moon spring phase....

   Kent , quite envious of you living on one of my favorite areas of our coast .

  Mornings Folks , well just a quick update as to conditions....was out at 05h00 until 08h00 and not a touch...water colour is good...swell good and I felt no surge or side wash...BUT....possibly this inshore water could be a tad TOO warm???.....and as I was wading , chest deep to my pinnacle I noticed at least 8 rays/skates moving around slowly in the shallows....not sure what that means..

  Some reports coming in and this silver was landed this AM at Cefani area , the water does look good for silvers...also on fresh prawn bait...well done to the fisherman...

  Mornings East Coasters ..well , quite frankly , I dont have much to say as far as this weekends fishing goes....the water is at a very chilly 13 and pretty grubby at most places inshore...even a self respecting piggy would be hard pressed to come onto the bite with this water as it is at the moment....[/size]Big baits are the order of the day and Im sure the raggie community will be out in their numbers.....[/font]
[/color][/size]As You look at that synoptic , that low pressure will probably only come into play around Friday next week and then we in for a clean up west again....BUT for the time being its gonna be a pretty slow weekend and week ahead for fishing....[/font]
Tomorrow sees you with a high at 05h13 ...on Sunday at 06h19 and then on Mondays public holiday at 07h10...
For those venturing out I would strongly suggest get some nice prawn and fresh chokka and go chase some piggies in the Cefane beach areas....
Well Folks , not much more I can add , other than enjoy the long weekend should you be off work...

Jip...it has been chilly and dead silvies this side too....we have two good looking fronts approaching and thid should warm things up a bit....
