Mornings Folks , as you look at this WindyTV animation , you will see a lightish west as well as for Sunday with early AM low tides...with the prospect of a rising baro and the sea looks good ...we could be in for a GREAT fishing weekend...................

Mornings East coasters , well the water is not looking too bad .it is a tad chilly at around the 15 mark and the colour is not too bad , still very fishable...a coastal low forming off of our coast will see a west wind tomorrow and Sunday...as that high ridges in the baro will rise and I have always liked a rising baro coming off a west wind.....

We are on a moon spring and as always please be aware with pushing spring tides...

You have a high tomorrow at 03h20 and on Sunday
at 03h51
Both mornings nice early am outgoing tides..

Spots that come to mind ...Glen Garriff...Cintsa point...Cefane to the left and Haga area IF the sea is not up and surging...
Well Folks , this is short n sweet as the conditions look quite good should sea not be up....
Please pick up the litter.

Mornings East Coasters..well well...the two systems off our coast look damn fine for a good fishing weekend indeed,....BUT...and in life , especially in fishing there is always a BUT,,,

The water , after a few days of east and a very south eastly swell running which was mostly wind swept AND with pretty hard and heavy east winds battering the west coast and Nambia has pushed tha cold Benguela current further east than normal and the warmer Aghulas is now deeper....with this w
est and west again on Sunday it should push that warmer water inshore...

Right now the temp is around the chilly 14 side and pretty grubby along the shore line....I suspect the shark fisherman will be licking their lips at the prospect of a few raggies and the odd skate here and there...
If one looks at the Windyty screen shot , this in my opinion is going to be THE window of opportunity fro this weekends fishing...From 04h00 to 10h00 on Saturday AM....rising baro and near windless conditions
The only thing that might put a spanner in the works is the temp of the water...we are on a nip tide this weekend and you have a high at 07h35 on Saturday and at 08h25 on Sunday..those of you that like a bit of night fishing , this evening would also be a good window , near windless and not a bad tide , with a high at 19h05 and then you fish a gentle outgoing tide. Especially for those that are looking for kob and piggies in this chilly water...
Two good spots for evening are Glengariff and those that know Gonubie at the Wooden shoe area....
Sunday AM will see a west come through at that low pressure passes and that cold front taps us ever so slightly and late arvie will that high ridge in and the east will blast...Dont forget this weekend will be a majority rising baro with a slight drop off in the glass early evening on Saturday...
Timing will be crucial this weekend and both windows Ive mentioned would be worth a look. Also the Cefane area with this tide and water temp is a good option for that pig...
One thing , those using red bait or rock bait , please cut off what you need and dont rip the whole pod out OR use the ones that wash up on the shore line...
Well Folks that all for now and get out there and put those lines in the water and please remember to pick up the litter!!!..

Mornings Folks..well a quick update...the west did its job and the water is a helluva lot cleaner and the temp is now sitting at 17 inshore...conditions look pretty good and the baro is at 1011hpk as at 07h30 and still rising steadly....its now all about timing that tide...

Mario,s short report back in his own words.....
.....quote"

Was great till it got dark. Reef fish disappeared and pulled 5 babers in a row. Packed up around 9pm. Bait expensive to feed babers lol. Time to invest in a prawn pump. Caught the blue on a piece of washed up red bait.."unquote

:fshn:Mornings East coasters.....well we in for another iffy weekends fishing prospects....the baro was sitting at 1025hpk as at 07h00 this am and a beastly eastly is about to puff a bit today and most of tomorrow..
The baro will be dropping for most of tomorrow as that cold front behind the low pushes in.......Soooo.....east wind and a dropping baro not a very good combo for productive fishing....
That being said , the alert fisherman might just find a window that could be productive this weekend....maybe Sunday am as that west comes through and the baro starts to rise....
Tomorrow am sees you at a high tide at 03h30 and on Sunday at 04h05 .....so both mornings its an outgoing tide....most spots along our Jikeleza fish well on an outgoing......just to time the wind and baro will be the trick....
Well Folks thats all.....remember , please pick up the litter...
