With some anticipation we launched Sunday at 06:30. The rain on Saturday had us (John F & Manuel Junior) praying for a clear day. With the peak of the neap tide on Saturday, Sunday promised to be a good day for bottoms... Weather sites gave a bit of conflict forecasts so we settled on taking a final decision next morning....
Low tide was at 07:47 so we needed to leave the club at 06:30 the latest. With no tractor, we used the Surf and ropes to put the boat in the water. No worries there and by 06:30 we were on our way. The sea was like a mirror and the sunrise was really spectacular and shed a nice light looking back at the city...

Anyway off we went... my small little electronic brains were telling me that at 3500 rpm we're cruising at 21 kts. Water temp was 22o C which eventually rose to 24.5o C during the day.

We got to the spots at 3M about 20 min to the low tide and it was just at the right time.... we started our fishing with a nice malabar rockcod of about 2.5 kg that Manuel Junior released into the hatch (unfortunately no pics!)...
The fishing was slow throughout the day and we kept catching the odd fish now and then while trying my marks in the area. Went a bit deep and Manuel again caught a nice mangrove snapper of +2 kg and I managed a nice parrotfish of 5.4 kg!!!! What a fight!!! Also got a beatiful butterflyfish (coachman) on my 4/0 hook, which after the pic was safely released!!!!

In the end not a lot of fish but some quality fish and a great day at sea!
