I'm not much of a rock angler. If you ask me i will defnetly be fishing the surf from Kabejous towards Gamtoos mounth. You will find the best spots from the gap towards Gamtoos mouth. Their is alot of very good fishing places in the erea al around j bay. When are you going and for how long?

If you can, get yourself some live mullet. There is a lot of leeries and kob on that stretch of surf. The sharks is also there.

If the wind plays along you will have a feast. I prevere a west wind for this erea. There is avlot of Duckbulls and Diamons aswell. You can also target Bronsies and reggies. For the edebles you can target kob, steenbras and leeries.,if you do get some elf during the day, dont hesetate to slide it out for a big leerie. I have caught and seen manny big leeries on this stretgh of surf. Big kob is also comon fro May to August. Desember is not the best time of year for the eastern cape but you will probebly catch more fish  there than any place on the east coast. Friends of mine went out in last week and got a few young kobbies and steenies. Few blue rays but not a lot of sharks. Wish i were you, but i had my time on Sundays in the beginning of November. Enjoy and keep us posted.

If conditions stays the same you have to go to Gamtoos for at least a day. Fish is coming out there. Friend of myne went out yesterday and got five cobs between 6 and 8kg. They also got a reggy of 178kg. They are camping there till the 15th. So far the fish is coming out almost every day. Cobs every day and steunis every now and then. The steunies are in the 5kg class. Bronzies are on the small side at the moment as well as the hammerheads. I will defnetly take a day to fish Gamtoos if i were you.
