Here with a short report from the Snoek Derby held at St.lucia over the weekend!!!!
Weather conditions on Saturdayprovided anglers with many opportunities, while Sundays conditons were slightly more tricky.
Day 1 produced only 8 snoek, with my 8.18kg snoek on Worthwhile! A toatl of 11 fish of various species were weighed.
Mark de la Hey, fishing on MY SON, came in with a total bag of 18.04kg, with John Travis adding a 5.20kg Snoek to it.
Mark also won 3rd overall for his 6.74kg Snoek.
Day 2`s tough surf and weather conditions saw only 6 fish being weighed, of which only 1 was a snoek.
The only notable catch on Sunday was John Travis 7.36kg Snoek which won him 2nd place overall.
My winning fish of 8.18kg was caught on ultra light tackle.
The rest of the winning fish were all caught on strip bait and lures.
