My Cuda Trace

Great Trace Mr T, Will make some soon as the couta were out there today, got about 12 today, but on the small side,  three were nice size about 7kg.... So will have to get some traces ready e.g Mr T traces and got some rigged mozzie ready using Mike's trace,,,, found the couta were taking on a fast trawl like you would trawl for snoek..... So hope the two traces will allow me to trawl faster and will have some cablety on the boat too.... Will try it out SOOOOON but heard a strong N.E is on it way,,,,,, Maybe after xmass.

Thanks guys... Legend not too sure,,,, getting all good TIPS from you guys..... You won't believe the couta are really being a pest at the moment as they seems to be everywhere and  really on the small side, like 1kgs and making it hard to find the snoek ... The small coutas are quite a fighter on light tackle... Want to believe that there are some bigger boys swimming with them....
Will be getting some Downsider Minnow from Demon Tackle ( Bennie) tomorrow and will also put them to use soon.....As I'll be able to cover more ground while I'm looking for snoek and not the baby coutas.

How about adding a swivel on the wire behind the sinker to tie your trebbles to...

A swivel behind the sinker isn't going to make any difference as the trebbles will be in the bait , for 1, and then hopefully in the cuda.

There has never been a need for the swivel as I am yet to have the trace let go...................... touch woody!

Give it a go though and change it up to suite your style of fishing.
Let us know how it goes.

Looks good.
One point is that the barrel sinker normally sits under the gill-flap so try and bring the sinker's position back a little.

Now you going to have to post pics of the cuda you catch.
