Title: Posting from Blackberry, I-Pad and other mobile devices
Post by: SUPER ADMIN on December 07, 2011, 11:48:01 AM
If you are having problems posting from a Mobile Device such as a Blackberry or I-Pad, there are a few changes you can make to your Account settings to enable easier posting...

Click the Profile button....

Under Profile Info, choose "Look and Layout"

Untick the WYSIWIG editor checkbox...

You should now be able to post from within any Mobile Web browser...

Thank you for clearing this up!

I was so dissapointed in my I pad because of some of the things it can't do. ( looks like it is actually me that can't do and not the Ipad that can't.)

I bought it specifically to do my banking on and after strugling for a few hours I phoned Fnb and they confirmed that you can only do personal banking and not business banking.  :-( :-(

So when I ran into problems on this site I asumed it was the same.

Thanks again.

Irritated me at first that we can't use iPad for FNb business but it's actually a good thing. This way even if someone gets hold of your login details they still can't access your profile.

With FNB business banking you even need separate profiles if you plan on working on networks other than the company's LAN.

Only thing I still can't do from iPad is upload pics. Is there a setting that needs to change so that one can do this?

Yup, we get seriously screwed by Itunes SA... there is an app in the US store called Safari Upload Enabler that allows you to post pics in Safari

There is always a work around !

Download the Photobucket app, when you take a pic with the pad, save it to Photobucket, and it generates the [img] code that you copy and paste into the post !

Been using it for a while, and it works like a bomb.

Nope. You can't transfer the digital certificate from one PC to another or to an iPad.

Bit of a pain but i think it's better this way. Keep the business accounts on your work PC and away from the mobile devices.

A photo of a photo of my biggest edible. 20kg Kob 15 December 1989.

My son was born 14 December 1989 and while they were still in Hospital I went to the PE Harbour trying for Elf and caught this!

I am just making sure I can now do this!

Thanks for all the help!

Dear Super Admin

I've done as instructed above. I am using my BlackBerry. I still find pictures and words(posts) all squashed in the corner. Even not being able to see the complete picture. Is it just me?

Thank you.

I just posted 3 pics from im Ipad .... wow so easy.

I took a pic before logging in to UA. Logged in, went to the relevant thread clicked on reply, clicked additional option, then browse .......... the Ipad asked if I want to Take a Photo or use Photo Roll. I selected Photo Roll, chose my photo and added the pic.

I then decided to try while in the reply box, again clicked on additional options in UA got the same pop up and I selected Take a Photo, the camera came up, I took the photo and clicked add .......

and pic is posted  :happ: this is so neat.
