I too bought one of those bionic fingers and the first few cast are usualy perfect and incredibly far, untill the arms start getting a little tired and control starts lapsing. Have donated too much lead and many spoons to King Neptune with that thingy so dont use it at all anymore. Prefer using a glove.

gents its not rocket science and the priciple is exactly the same as if youd be using your finger it tackes a few casts to sort out but when waxed it works incredibly weel dont just give up keep trying look at different techniques, i have got it waxed after fishing hard with my thrree set ups , each one having a different sinker and bait size. now they all work for me . Eugene i have had the t -flex for some time but the fish i target are requiring fairly larger baits so i built up a waft zambezi its a stroke 7 slim hmg and it throw a seven ounce and a bomb bait pretty darn far , at tweede baai i require no wading to get to the second sloop if you no what i mean, the t flex just wont handle that pressure , if one has to wade and punt a big bait out no prob ( struisbaai plaat) here the t flex should work well , the advantage is that with chest deep water an overhead punt gona get you more distance than trying to pendulum a big bait ill challenge anyone to come trhow a yellowtail head with fillets from chest deeep water with a pendulum and l will punt overhead with grinder. i also got a waft musselcracker its a slim 5  and matched it with a tica sceptr gx 10000 awesome say light tackle for sandies and blue rays and kobbies extra , but recently proven otherwise i flung a six ounce with maie head and got a 6 kg blackfin and two 10 kg grays at toti so anything is possible . the finnor is great anand has caught three big fish over 80 kg with it and it handles well i just dont like the trigger winch it comes in the way of the finger for me .

Hi Don,
Hear wat you say mate and its valid however just dont get to practse as often as you do :(
Im going to actually have the bionic finger removed. Hate the bloody thing and just dont feel comfortable with it. As for the T-Flex comments, hear what you say but for the purpose intended, im probably only going to throw a macky head/6oz sinker max! Def wont be investing in heavier grinder rods.
Shot for the comments ouens.
Ai Zeyn hahaha, you and your briefs lol

what i have found that if you think its time to release  its time to release , its almost as if the bait and sinker must be ripped from the finger, in other words its such a small movement that is required for an excellent release
