Once you can do it in Mono, then try it in steel/wire, as outlined below.

i struggle with this knot sometimes, i kink my dam wire which is not so good! lol

Before you tighten the knot, you need to slide it away from the hook or swivel by about 20cm, then tighten it with pliers. Once you have formed the knot, then using finger pressure, slide it back up to the hook. Now you can pull it as tight as you want before trimming the tag. Doing it this way, will stop the wire from kinking.

I avoid this knot in any steel over 120lbs. It can be tied successfully up to 200lbs, I have done it, but it gets untidy. Like Reefman says though, it is very important to tighten the knot away from the swivel/hook!
