Had both impellers changed, the one was missing 1 .5 blades so all ready to go, I may fish Sunday it all depends on the party Saturday night.  :creep: :creep:

DUC spent a little money on a beautiful display then some guys arrived with some cheapies and almost blew themselves up, lol. I got a little roasted for asking for a boat wash bay.

We launched... was a very tough day out for us.
We target dorado and tuna in the deep and around the ships to no avail.
I then decided to come inside and fish a bit shallower for tuna.. We had one pull all day and it was the story of the big one that got away. My live mozzie got picked up and it felt like a hammer, as i put some pressure to set the circle hook, the fish took off and the back of the fish breached. (biggest yellow fin iv ever hooked and up there with the fish between 28-30kg i reckon. It realised it was hooked and took off at a rate of knots..... then slack!!!
Line parted
We tried some of the bait spots on the way back but nothing, hit the beach at 12 and that was it...

Some more badluck for scott-no-fish!

Sorry to hear that Mags very frustrating.

I was lucky enough to be invited to launch on a friends boat and we hit a luck at about 7am when we trolled past a school of bait fish on the surface and had a hit and miss on one Halco, and a 6,5kg female  :dor: on the other. We did many k's after that without a hit.

Ended up bottom fishing and got a few but only kept one rockcod, but the bottoms were also scarce.

We need the water temp to get over 23 deg..........24-25 would be nice and maybe with the local rains we will get some more defined current lines :-)

Had a lekker day on the water fishing with FFF and Umpa on Strike Craft. Really weird rocking up at the club with 2 rods and nothing else and feeling like a spare wheel while they prepped everything.

On the water we puzzled a bit for the right size livies and eventually found the ship with the 4 cranes holding fish. Our livies were a little big but we managed to pick up some yellowtail and saw a lot of small dorries about.

No fireworks but good to be on the water again and good to fish with some top blokes!!

Thanks for day Shaun, nice day on water weather wise but fish didn't play ball, I will still get my trip aboard Scouse  :-) Think another 3 weeks or so and Dorries and game fish will be in full swing.
