Launched yesterday at 6am,  through a small gap in the wind, headed for the ships on a very lumpy sea. Managed 1x small :dor:  . Sea was a bit flatter on the 20km home run.

Nice George on the  :dor:
We Launched yesterday, puzzled ships, water was on green side, average temp was 23, but blanked, also having minor issues with left motor made the day miserable.

Every time I brought my fish up yesterday something gave it a blue eye.??
Last week I got a nice 17.6kg Daga at around the 70m mark, yesterday the showings on the finder was still great but could not get them to feed.

I launched on Sunday and mainly targetted bottoms. Caught our quota fairly quickly fishing off the 80m mark.

Do you guys use the bridle rigg system for live baits at all?

I tried it for the first time and at times took to long to rig up, affecting the livie or stuffed up by piercing the eye.

Do you guys have any tips to make rigging a bridle easier?????

Also besides using the bridle for dagga, gelbek and queenies, is its in anyway affective with couta

Launched yesterday at 10 to give the motors a run - went south to the 200m and back pulling some lures, never saw warmer than 22.7 and got no pulls, nice day topped off with a few ice cold   on the way back. :-)

@ MK, I have only used the bridal with bonnies for marlin(and only ever had one pick up) rather pin the bait through the top lip or nostrils or behind the head, for queenfish I sometimes fish drift and pin it in the anal fin so it swims down, you have to hold the rod constantlyand give line slowly.

Launched yesterday in the dark and headed for live bait and my port motor alarm went off - overheating, water pumping but not strong, when going at speed she runs cool but did not want to take a chance going too deep, played around # 1 only to attract the sharks so tested my knots and the Finnor drag  :fshn: :fshn:. Will take it in tomorrow and have both impellers changed it was great to be on the water again after a good few weeks.
Nice fish George.

Mike Where the pics? (bat (bat

George swell was flat, hardly no drift at all, drifting past ships we were hardly moving, but SE started to puff from about 9 but not to strong, plenty other boats came back with empty hatches.

Mike :nail: , yes this crappy weather and heavy winds needs to disappear now, think it will be a bumper season for game fish, already reports of big Tuna coming out.
