That's one of the reasons I only use Windfinder and Magic Seaweed, guru confuses things, I don't understand why because as far as I know they all use the GFS model?

CLS - that night rating and moneys spent is now rewarding you well !!! Is there a tractor at the club to assist at that time of the morning?

Alfu, this is the main reason I got my night rating and yes there is the tractor, you just pay the driver something for his assistance. I have a 4 x 4 so I can launch myself is need be. hopefully  :fshn: :fshn:

Those boys at windguru have probably been smoking some wacky weed this week. The wind predictions have been super erratic. They now predict almost dead calm conditions on Sunday. So i will be pulling out the old girl, dusting her off and getting her deck wet this weekend. As for putting some blood on the deck thats a whole different story. I think i may have caught the happy dog fever and forgotten how to fish.  :fshn:

Launched early from Durban and headed North. Lots of bait fish and shad around. Blanked after a long day and dodging all the whales. A lot of other boats also blanked today. Just good to be out again. Summer must come so that we can also cach some fish off Durban. Inspectors were out today and glad to see that they are inspecting permits.

Launched early and was at Lugs as the sun came up. tried really hard for a snoek but nothing I had to be back early as had other commitments so headed out to the bait spots and had fun catching mackerel and shad, even caught one on a live mackerel  :-). The boats that ventured deep were rewarded with their quota of bek and bottoms. Was great to be on the water again after 4 weeks being land bound.   Till the next trip.

Well also decided to do a launch yesterday. Umpa Lumpa decided not to go yesterday so i took to ballies and Kieran out.

Was at the club 04:30 and did an early launch. Having night rating does help.

Went south and tryed a bit of bottom fishing. Caught quite a few smaller fish but struggled to get better fish. The sea barbel were also around and had us thinking we had a few good fish only to be disappointed. Kieran did manage a couple of good fish though. I am very proud of his effort yesterday, fishing 50m deep with a KP. The englishman even made him have to do a couple of back winds so he is learning how its done.

We also saw a couple of big flying fish on our way back so a sign that summer time is coming and game fishing will be back.
