No luck turned out to be karros but Ill be out this afternoon hopefully there will be some shad around for a livie to convert to a garrick

Where are you located in relation to chasing the sards? Your profile says Boksburg....no sards there!

I am deciding where to look for sardines or shad in the next few days, thinking scotties or  rocky bay area (but too many holiday makers there) - but maybe greenpoint...or even more north like beachwood or viirginia

Eish quite a disappointing first day. Arrived at orange rocks and was the only person there. Threw a 9 oz and tried sliding a mackie. First throw it washed back into me. Reeled up and threw again letting the sinker sit for a good 5mins, eventually got my bait out but after 20mins it was loose again. The sea was very strange not really rough but after a couple of sets a huge wave would roll through. I found it pretty dangerous actually because the smaller waves would lull you and suddenly a monster was washing over the rocks. Unless the sea settles a lot I won't be fishing in the morning its honestly not worth it

Didn't fish this morning after last night I was seriously bleak I doubt I missed anything to be honest. Spent almost 2 hours in Gremlins today which cheered me up a bit seems that there have been no fish from the kei to the far northern south coast. Will be off now to slide a bait and hunt some shad

Slid a mackie and threw a plug for 2 hours off pothole into the dark but once again niks. The sea has now gone like a duck pond from yesterdays monsters. Stiebel tomorrow morning. If stiebel has no fish then I donno

While the sards are on the coast and you are not fishing with them you are waisting your time. The whole eco system is messed up.

I popped in to Gremlins today to pick up one rod and check in on my new p6 also spoke to Brendan about what to target, his advice? Dive for sinkers its the only thing you will catch in this water. The sea is absolutely flat and the clarity is amazing what a fail of a fishing trip! The upside is I spent quite a bit of time sorting out my new rod as well as refurbishing an old rod. Also spent time with swambo scoring points towards my next trip

Homie when was this? I can believe the start of the week but in the last 2 days the sea is like what you see on those ads for tropical islands. I can't actually describe how clean or flat it is

No, at Sea park. bout 4kms north of Sandspit. If you travel from Sandspit towards Stiebel, its the robot just after Tweni. There is a thatched roof shop on the corner.
My uncle got a few shad over size, kept 4, and another guy he knows from the area gat a Garrick of about 8 kgs while hewas there this morning.
