Durban Skiboat Club Couta Classic 2011
« on: March 29, 2011, 10:22:41 AM »
Hi guys,

Let's use this thread as a build-up to the couta classic. As far as I can tell, fishing it will be Tunaman and his missus, Prego, The Van's, Jeanswart, Benniejordaan and myself.

Anyone else coming down?

There has been a few reports of couta in the lower 20's being caught, still waiting to hear of any big (30kg) fish to be landed other than the one caught from shore in La Mercy!

Very keen to fish, but have to see closer to the time if my mate will enter his boat?? otherwise may rough it on my boat - no pain no gain!!
No fireworks with the couta yet so it can only get better?? I think it could be the best comp ever if the weather holds.
Remember that the comp is limited to 400 boats and 30 jet skis this year, which can only be a good move, 250 boats have already entered so only 150 slots left......and going fast!!
Just Fish!!!

Team DAFISHINSEA was the 14th boat to enter so all we need now is 1 rotten sardine, a decent-sized cuda and plenty barrel sinkers.

This year we are only doing steak rolls, and maybe a leg of lamb with potatos, rice and gravy  :hyst:

@Glenn, Eric has been MIA?

Eric is pre-occupied with his new son and larger family, he is doing well.
