For all the guys coming to fish the Couta comp in Durbs.
Everyone knows that a live shad or mackrel is one of the best baits for couta!!
These are the popular bait reefs around Durban.
CONTAINERS - 5kms. NE of the harbour mouth in about 22m of water - very popular spot for boats going north as it is en route, also very close to NO1 (2.5kms). All baits(shad, mackrel, mozzies, sea pike), but generally very good for mackrel if they are about.

SH1T PIPE - 4kms S of the harbour mouth in 40 - 46m of water - can be hit or miss and difficult to fish because of depth and currents(heavier sinkers) generally not as good as others for shad but can be excellent for mackrel.
