. No wonder Elbe is so glad to sponsor you. Bring those new samples to the Vaal on the 5th, cause I would like to see what the guys in the white cloaks are up to at Elbe with regards to their ground breaking technology.

Koos, believe it or not, I am not sponsored by Elbe. Wish I was :sadd

I have not bought an Elbe in 4 years ( no need to  :crzy,) 'cos they just don't break.

I know , I have really tried. :sadd

YES they are broomsticks, but it all depends on you and how you fish.

I still have an Exploder 1 spaghetti stick, which I have been using for my winter fishing, which hopefully will be replaced before this winter. Still iffing and aaahing over the replacement though. w;k
If we caught fish on every trip, it would be called " Catching". We don't, and that's why it's called "Fishing".

Koos, why not bring what you feel I should be buying with to the Ultimate Vaal Trip 1, and convince me. :sml:

It is scary when you walk into a FF shop or any fishing shop that sells FF equip and you see how you get ripped off.

But, I think we beginning to see a lot of "local is lekker" coming our way as I know Koos makes a stunning rod and I have seen a lot of local rods being built which are great. FF unlimited make a nice rod to for a decent price and I believe the Horizon is also local?! (I stand to be corrected!)

Rumour has it, people are beginning to push out local blanks as well which should HOPEFULLY make things cheaper but we can only hold thumbs.

I have cast a couple high end rods before now and wow, they are great! But I dunno bout spending that cash.
