EASTCO InformationAnyone need more info on Eastco - pictures, the accommodation, fishing , price etc. have a look at this:http://tinyurl.com/6cekcr9
If you go to eastco, will you give us a report back next week?
Flows are currantly at 40. So its looking good for the 5th
Sorry that I've been so scarce. The flows are looking good, and barring a cyclone should stay that way.I still need to contact Eastco, ito a discount for numbers, but will do so before next Friday. At this late stage, I must re-iterate Rory's advice. Have decent footwear guys. Sandals, Rockies, or barefoot will just leave you in pain, as well as p!ssed off. Also wading sticks. A broom handle, cut off at rib height, drill a hole through one end, through which you attach about 2m of ski rope, and then nail a rubber stopper on the other end.Wrap some insulation tape around the top for your "handle" ( to avoid splinters ) and you are done.
Gumboots will fill with water and you will drown, rather use an old pair of tackies, then we can fall together.I think there should be a straf dop for everyone that falls.
This thread has died a suddend death!! Is it just me and rory stoked about this trip?Camon, gents, this will be a memorable trip! ......i got gumboots- for footing - hope that fine ......
Quick - I have to agree with ICstuff here, rather wear a pair of trainers/takkies. Surprisingly, safety boots actually make very good wading boots, as well as those canvas military type boots.
