as planned (not secretly) we ended up launching on Saturday
all was setup on Friday and a good weather forecast was expected...
so rcoliveira84 and myself met at 5:45 and launched on matabixo at 6:20
we had the same game plan we did 1 week ago aboard maguro...heading North for some cuta in the early hours and heading further North to chase some tuna
getting to Cutfield area we felt the wind pumping associated with low depth..it was not confortable and the first hours in B1 was a bit bumpy
sounder showed us some nice showings and soon we found the cuta
first time rcoliveira84 fought the fish and soon we landed a small rat cuta
not long after we got a 3 x strike...while rcoliveira was fighting a fish and the moment I grabbed one rod my fish went sideways and cut trough the other 2 lines...2 rappies lost...and most important...3 lost fish cause my fish got away
all set up and back in the game to hit another strike...and another lost fish...this time to much pressure on the line
one thing we noticed was all the cuta were foully hooked so that might be the reason we lost some fish
so by 9:00 we were loosing 2-4 for the fish
back to the cuta motorway (as we named that area as we were working a line and getting hits) and it was my turn to fight and land another fish
we decided it was about time to start heading further North and on the way we had another strike and rcoliveira84 landed another fish
so we balanced the fight and by 10:00 we were 4-4
that's when we had our 2nd 3 x strike...with a similar situation but without line cuts....just a big tangling mess with all the lines
after some caos aboard we managed to untangle the lines and get back to the fights to land the 3 fish
7-4 now for team UA
after some drinks and a relaxing 30' moment we set all again...and not long after another strike...and another missed fish by the boat...again too much pressure and hook fell off
off we went and at the first birds and tuna sighting we had a 4 x strike and we managed to land 3 fish
10-6 now for us
then we took the lines out for a while to give it a try on spinning...but fish was not bitting...so we set lines again and we had our 3rd 3 x strike as while the 4th rod was hanging out we have had another strike
first fish got away but we manage to land the remaining 3...so we kept the result in our favor with a 13-7
then we grabbed the spinning rods and we start our fun
on my first cast I was on with a big tuna that came to the boat and back to the deep...and while fighting 30lb braid snapped with the pressure...I must admit I put too much drag and pressure on the fish
then it was a very fun game with bites off and on where we landed another 5 fish
on the way back home and trolling on the deep we managed to land our last YFT...a big smash at the lure and a long run made us thought we had a bigger fish and maybe a wahoo...but it was one of those piri piri fish that made us thought we had a bigger specimen
the tally was 19-7 for us
we got to Maputo nearly at 17:00 after another great day with good company and great fishing time
it was a pleasant ride aboard matabixo and on the 88nm we did a short 90lt

today I launched 4play and took a couple of friends to spent the day at Santa Maria
this winter is killing me...not much to do in Maputo makes us launch every weekend
 :creep:

Nothing much happening in Maps... we've had lousy wind conditions for almost 2 weeks in a narrow...

I know rcoliveira went out on Saturday and had a good day with  :yft: and :cout:

So they are still there
